ADEM & Jo Mango
British singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist ADEM, Adem Ilhan is known for crafting pastoral pop songs augmented by eclectic instrumentation and wistful, irreverent lyrics. He first gained recognition as the bass player for the influential post-rock trio Fridge before signing with the renowned Domino label in 2003.
Joining him is Glasgow's own alternative folk and acoustic singer-songwriter JO MANGO. Her music is celebrated for its delicate, intimate sound and lyrical depth. Mango is known for balancing her musical career with her academic work, exploring themes of environment, climate, and ethical creativity, often resulting in music that is both beautiful and thoughtful. She has collaborated with artists across the globe, bringing a distinctive, compassionate voice to the contemporary folk scene.
Expect an evening of intricate, beautifully crafted songs and intimate musicality from two distinctive artists.
