Alice Faye & Special Guests
Glasgow’s own Alice Faye brings her spellbinding blend of drama, melody, and storytelling to the newly reopened Citizens Theatre with a special preview of her forthcoming album, Vaude Villian. Known for her cinematic, emotionally charged performances, Alice weaves classic 70s pop, 60s folk, and the theatrical spirit of chanson into something unmistakably her own. Her songs shimmer with confessional honesty and wide-screen flair - think Piaf meets Wainwright by way of Laurel Canyon.
Following acclaimed performances across the UK and Europe, including sell-out shows at St Matthias Church, London’s Omeara, and Glasgow’s Art School, Alice has fast become one of Scotland’s most compelling new voices. Her piano-driven EP Deadbeat earned radio play on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Scotland, while her moving appearance on Channel 4’s The Piano captured hearts nationwide.
At the Citizens, Alice offers a suitably theatrical taster of Vaude Villian - a bold, captivating new work that celebrates storytelling in all its musical forms. Expect passion, wit, and a voice that lingers long after the final note.
