An Evening of Storytelling and Folktales with Kim Willis

Join us for an evening of folklore and storytelling with Kim Willis and Niall Moorjani to celebrate Kim's new book exploring the lost goddesses of Britain, No Fair Maidens.

No Fair Maidens follows Kim Willis' journey around the British Isles to unearth new stories she could relate to as she drifted from the traditional paths of marriage and motherhood. Recovering and recentring the stories of women like Arianrhod, Melusine and Cerridwen, Kim charts a new vision of modern womanhood and a Britain which recognises that women are, and have always been, a force of nature.

Kim and professional storyteller and award-winning playwright Niall Moorjani will be telling stories of folklore and myth before discussing questions about the importance of myth to modern identities, the different stories we can tell about ourselves and the world, and the relationship between nature and people, before Kim signs copies of her book.
