Badgemaking Workshop
Create your own badge designs, with collaging, drawings, stickers and more! Whether your badge is playful, political, expressive or just for fun this is a space to create something that feels like you. All materials are provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own personal items to include.
Hank Ahmad is a textile and visual artist from Glasgow working between the mediums of crochet and embroidery. They are drawn to the emotional resonance of traditional handmade crafts, exploring how threads can hold care, love, comfort, connection, and inherited knowledge. They appreciate the slow and meditative repetition and think about the movement of countless hands doing these crafts before them. Teaching these traditional crafts has been a way to make community, sharing the time, touch, and energy contained in each stitch.
