Blue Öyster Cult

plus special guests When Rivers Meet

One of the defining bands in rock history, Blue Öyster Cult are coming to the UK for two landmark shows in 2027, including Glasgow on Saturday 3rd April, featuring special guests, award-winning husband-and-wife blues rock duo When Rivers Meet.

The 55 Years On Tour - 1972 to 2027 gives UK fans another chance to see one of the defining classic rock bands in full flight.

Few bands in hard rock and heavy metal can match the Long Island, New York group's catalogue. (Don't Fear) The Reaper, Godzilla and Burnin' for You are among the best-known rock songs ever recorded, and they sit alongside favourites such as Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll, Veteran of the Psychic Wars, Astronomy, Black Blade and Shooting Shark.

The accolades match the reputation. (Don't Fear) The Reaper is certified six-times platinum in the US and platinum in the UK, Burnin' for You is two-times platinum and Godzilla is platinum, while Agents of Fortune and Spectres are certified platinum and gold in the US. Blue Öyster Cult are one of very few hard rock and heavy metal bands to win both mainstream critical acclaim and commercial success, are often cited as an influence by acts including Metallica and were named in VH1's countdown of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.

The band is led by original core duo Eric Bloom (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser (vocals, lead guitar), alongside Richie Castellano (guitar, keyboards), Danny Miranda (bass) and Jules Radino (drums).

Blue Öyster Cult remain a working studio band. The Symbol Remains (2020) was their first new album in 19 years, and its follow-up, Ghost Stories, arrived in 2024.
