"We believe that the tradition bearers of Scottish Ceilidh would be delighted to share the stage and the dance floor with the traditions of the other cultures that have become an integral part of contemporary Scotland. Although there are regular and popular Ceilidh nights across the countrys village halls and cultural centres, there are hardly any events that provide space for the folk fusion of Scottish Ceilidh with other world trad dances. Launched in 2024, our Ceilidh Plus series has been changing this, laying the common ground for a new tradition." Iliyana Nedkova and Wendy Timmons, Curator and Chair of the Traditional Dance Forum of Scotland
