Elephant Sessions and Herbamora
For the first time ever, the band will perform their new album 'This Place of Ours' in full, backed by a live string section and joined by the guests featured on the record - Beluga Lagoon, Alice Faye and Hamish Hutcheson (VLURE). Plus a brand new collaboration in the works with the acclaimed Cathal Murphy.
This Place of Ours is a record shaped by home. After years of touring further and further afield, Elephant Sessions found themselves writing an album that kept pulling them back towards Scotland and the Highlands, the people, places and sense of belonging that have always sat behind the band.
Celtic Connections felt like the natural place to bring that record to life for the first time. Rather than simply playing the new songs as part of a regular set, the band are building a one-off show around the album: performing it from start to finish, expanding the four-piece with a live string section and bringing all of the record’s collaborators onto the stage.
It represents a significant moment for the band, a new album, their first exploration of vocals, and a chance to present Elephant Sessions in a way audiences haven’t experienced before. A record about home, performed in full at home for the first time.
