Findlay Napier & The Outsiders and Paruline

From the Main Stage of Cambridge Folk Festival with folk rock supergroup The Magpie Arc to an intimate acoustic show in the back room of a pub, Findlay Napier is widely regarded as one of the finest performers on the UK music scene. This year he brings his Outsider album to the stage with a full band featuring Donna Maciocia (Camera Obscura) on keys and backing vocals, Suse Bear (Pictish Trail) on bass, Liam Chapman (Billy Nomates/C Duncan) on drums and virtuoso electric guitarist Steve Agnew.

Hailing from Drummondville, Paruline is the indie-folk-trad project of singer and multi-instrumentalist Charles Labrèche. Drawing from his Québécois roots and deep background in traditional music and dance, he offers a fresh interpretation of oral traditions, blending original songs with reimagined traditional tunes. On stage, Paruline delivers a vibrant and heartfelt performance, fueled by infectious energy, bold arrangements, and unexpected rock influences. For their debut at Celtic Connections, the band promises an experience rooted in collective memory yet boldly forward-looking. Between nostalgia and modernity, get ready for a one-of-a-kind journey into the heart of Québec.
