Gnoss and Support
Gnoss celebrate their 10th anniversary at Celtic Connections, returning to the festival with their biggest headline show to date, ahead of the release of their fourth studio album in spring 2027.
Formed by the award-winning Orkney duo of Graham Rorie and Aidan Moodie, alongside Perthshire’s Connor Sinclair and Stirling’s Craig Baxter, the Glasgow-based quartet have spent the past decade developing a distinctive sound rooted in traditional music and contemporary composition. Their live sets combine virtuosic musicianship, richly evocative songs and an energy that has taken them from stages across the UK and Europe to Australia and North America.
Triple BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards nominees, Gnoss have toured extensively across the UK and internationally, with festival appearances including Cambridge Folk Festival, Tønder Festival, Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Dranouter Festival and Hebridean Celtic Festival, alongside numerous editions of both Celtic Connections and the Orkney Folk Festival.
With their third record, Stretching Skyward (2023), the band continued to explore their acoustic roots alongside new electronic textures, earning widespread critical acclaim and more than two million streams in its first year. Their fourth marks the next stage of Gnoss’s musical development after ten years of writing, recording and touring.
