Katie Gregson-MacLeod and Sophie May

Inverness native Katie Gregson-Macleod plays her first Celtic Connections headline show in the beautiful, atmospheric Barony Hall. In what promises to be a memorable evening, Katie brings her full band (and strings) to the festival to perform her most recent project, Love Me Too Well, I’ll Retire Early, live and in full for the first time.

A singer-songwriter with a burgeoning reputation, Katie was named one of BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘25 Artists to Watch’ in 2022. Her single, Complex, was nominated for ‘Best Song Musically and Lyrically’ at the 2023 Ivor Novello awards, and she also won the ‘Vega Breakthrough Award’ at the 2023 Scottish Music Awards.

English singer-songwriter and guitarist SOPHIE MAY captivates audiences with her intimate, acoustic sound and deeply honest lyricism. Known for her distinctive vocal style, her music explores vulnerability and relatable inner thoughts, showcased across her acclaimed EPs like _Worst Thoughts in the World_ and _Deep Sea Creatures_. She is a magnetic voice in contemporary acoustic pop.
