MVLS Grad School - Glasgow Women's Library Tour (Pride Month )

This Pride Month we're taking a trip to the Glasgow Women's Library, the only accredited museum in the UK dedicated to women's history.
What is the Glasgow Women's Library?
Glasgow Women's Library is a sanctuary library, with a lending library and various archives and collections. You can browse, sign up for a library card, or make an appointment to view a number of collections focused on women's history. GWL is home to one of the most significant LGBT historical collections in the UK, with material spanning from the 1920s to the present day.
Glasgow Women's Library is open to all and welcomes trans and non-binary people.

Event Details
You are invited to come along for a free tour of the library and access to materials from the Lesbian Archive and LGBTQ collection, from 11am until around 1pm on Friday 26 June.
There is no cost to book a tour visit, however you will need to purchase a train ticket for travel to the East End of Glasgow. UofG staff will be available on the day to travel with tour ticket holders from Partick to Bridgeton rail station and on to the library nearby.
We are planning to arrive at the GWL at 11am, so plan for around 30 minutes of travel from Partick Station beforehand. We'll email you details on where and when to meet to get the train with us if you choose to do so.
Please note, GWL offers masking hours from 1pm to 4:30pm every Friday. If you are staying behind after the tour to spend some time in the library on your own, we would encourage you to respect this and wear a mask. If you do not have a mask you can ask for one from library staff.
