NYOS Development Spring Concert 2026
The NYOS Development orchestra makes its debut at Glasgow’s City Halls this April, celebrating the diverse musical legacy of Europe during the interwar period. Experience the defiant sounds of revolutionary Croatia, the frivolity of 1920s France and the spectacular music of a courageous Dutch maestra.
Blending Slavic folk melodies with impressionistic harmonies, Dora Pejačević’s Overture in D Minor will open proceedings. To follow, the orchestra will be joined by acclaimed cellist and NYOS alumnus Finn Mannion to perform Henriette Bosmans’ Poème, a lyrical and expressive piece for cello and orchestra.
The programme is rounded out with the stylish allure of Poulenc’s Les Biches, followed by Ravel’s coquettish Boléro. Join us for what promises to be a marvellous celebration of some of Scotland’s most talented young musicians.
