NYOS Spring Concert 2026
What happens when a wedding party stretches into the morning on a remote Scottish island? Find out this spring when the NYOS orchestra performs Peter Maxwell Davies’ Orkney Wedding, with Sunrise at Glasgow’s City Halls, featuring a glorious bagpipe solo.
The spring programme will be complimented by Sarah Lianne Lewis’ Creatures of Dust and Dreams, an exploration of human vulnerability composed during the COVID pandemic.
The programme concludes with Vaughan Williams’ metropolitan tribute, A London Symphony, which distils the essence of the pre-war English capital - complete with lavender vendors and hansom cabs.
