Platoon, Death in Venice, 2001: A Space Odyssey... picture those classic movies and you can already hear the music of Samuel Barber, Gustav Mahler and Richard Strauss. But there’s no cinema on earth that can beat the sound of a full symphony orchestra playing these masterpieces live. That’s what we’re doing tonight, and there’s a bonus feature too, as violinist James Ehnes premieres a brand-new showpiece by Hollywood legend James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, The Hunger Games). The young musicians of Big Noise Govanhill get the evening off to a rousing start with a special side-by-side performance with the RSNO.

Subscriptions - Restoration Fund Information

For customers buying a seasonal subscription, classical concerts in the 2025/26 season will carry a restoration fund of 75 pence per ticket.

For any additional concerts during 2025/26, whether bought in a separate transaction or along with a season subscription, the standard £1.50 restoration fund per ticket will apply.
