Expect bold ideas, youthful energy and exceptional talent in a concert that brings generations together. Sheku Kanneh-Mason makes his SCO debut performing Haydn’s much loved First Cello Concerto, a showcase for his expressive brilliance.
The programme opens with a world premiere by SCO Associate Composer Jay Capperauld, written with the young musicians of SCO Academy. The evening ends with Beethoven’s monumental ‘Eroica’ Symphony, a revolutionary work that shaped the future of classical music.
