Soul Lindy Weekend
After such a successful first Soul Lindy Weekend last year, Glasgow Jitterbugs are back this November for more soulful grooves and electric dance floors!
What to expect at the Soul Lindy Weekend:
- 6 Hours Partnered Soul Lindy classes
- 2 Hours Solo Soul Dance Taster Classes
- Saturday Night Soul Party
- Sunday Afternoon Party with Homemade Cake at Glasgow University Union
Soul Lindy is the perfect fusion of traditional Lindy Hop dancing and Carolina Shag. It's smooth, it glides, and it moves in a way that perfectly reflects the Soul music of the 1960s.
To attend this weekend, look to be familiar with the Lindy Hop basic footwork pattern. If you are looking for beginner Lindy Hop classes that will give you a foundation, join Glasgow Jitterbugs drop in weekly classes any Thursday nighty at 7pm in Garnethill Multicultural Centre from September-November.
There will also be a 5-week introduction to Soul Lindy every Thursday at 8:30pm in the same venue from 18th Sept; this is not required to attend The Soul Lindy Weekend, but it will definitely help!
