Steer Queer
A celebration of queer Scottish hip hop artists!
3 rising Scottish queer hip hop acts will take to the stage and bring quality music, a wide variety of disciplines and inclusive positivity to the local Glasgow music scene.
First up is Shifuh (Harry Weir), a mercury prize nominated (Corto Alto) and Scottish Album of the Year winning (Kai Reesu 2025) Saxophone player, Equipped with pedals galore, Shifuh’s atmospheric Sax set will set the night off like no other could.
Next up is Raj Mahal, a Scottish rapper and singer with mixed heritage(Punjabi Sikh background). With bouncy beats, catchy hooks and introspective lyricism, alongside some live instruments and a healthy dose of freestyling, Raj Mahal will have the crowd jumping and the energy thumping, as their lyrics cover topics of identity, community and acceptance.
Our headliner is Eyve, the multi-disciplinary maestro, equipped with powerful vocals, hypnotic bars and plenty of Afro-Techno. Expect to violently twerk to one of Scotland’s top rising performers in the local Glasgow scene. Big dance vibes with this one.
The night will continue afterwards as Raj Mahal hops on the decks to share a slice of
culture through Indian house and garage, jungle and hip hop. Expect the dancefloor to call to you until the wee hours.
Don’t let this celebration of all cultures and sexualities slip through your fingers. Let’s be unapologetically ourselves through the connective tissue that is music.
