Twilight Tour - Mackintosh at The Hunterian
Go behind-the-scenes in our curator led Twilight Tours at Kelvin Hall, to explore objects and artworks from The Hunterian collection.
Come behind the scenes to see a selection from The Hunterian’s unique collection of drawings and watercolours by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, plus works by Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh and Frances Macdonald McNair. To preserve them from the damaging effects of light, these delicate items are seldom displayed, so this is a rare opportunity to take a close look at architectural drawings, textile designs, flower studies, and other works by these outstanding Glasgow artists.
About Twilight Tours:
The Hunterian Twilight Tours take place every other month, on the first Wednesday of the month.
The Twilight Tours are an opportunity to go behind-the-scenes in The Hunterian collections to explore objects and artworks that are not currently on public display.
Each tour explores a different topic and area of our collection, ranging from geology, coins and medals, Scottish printmaking and more! The theme for each session will be announced soon.
