By Rail

  • Less than 10 minutes walk from Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations.

  • Charing Cross Station gives easy access to the west end of the District — steps from the King’s Theatre and the Mitchell Library.

By Bus

  • Buchanan Street Bus Station is a short walk away, connecting you to the wider city and beyond.

  • The Nos 4 and 6 bus routes bring you in from the south and west of the city. From the north catch the No 7. 

By Subway

  • Hop off at Cowcaddens. The underpass brings you to Garnethill and Cambridge Street — perfect for the GFT, Theatre Royal, and Pavilion Theatre.

Walking

  • Stroll the famous Golden Z — Sauchiehall Street is the least hilly route through the city centre.

  • For a view, head up Scott Street or Hill Street in Garnethill. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Ben Lomond.

  • Need a break? Benches along Sauchiehall Street let you pause and soak up the buzz.

Cycling

  • Cycle lanes connect the west end to Sauchiehall Street.

  • Plenty of bike racks are available throughout the District.
